At 1" H x 7/8" W, the ribbed hollow bulb stands taller than the half-round profiles and is the correct replacement for ramp gates originally fitted with a bulb-style weatherstrip. The cylindrical hollow dome compresses under ramp gate closure and springs back cleanly — maintaining full sealing contact through repeated cycling without taking a permanent compression set.
The exterior ribs that run along the top of the bulb profile are a distinguishing functional feature. The ribs increase the surface contact points between the seal and the gate frame when compressed, distributing closure force more evenly across the seal face. This produces a more consistent pressure seal along the full perimeter, even where the gate frame surface is not perfectly smooth or flat.
