Steele Rubber Products 90-3611-260 Peel-N-Stick RV Drip Rail — 7/8" H x 1/2" W x 10 Ft — White

High-quality EPDM dense rubber drip rail that diverts water away from RV doors, windows, and slide-outs before it reaches seals and frames. Flush-mounted design shields 3M bonded adhesive from runoff for a clean, finished look after installation. No-drill, peel-and-stick installation — simply clean the surface, peel, and press. Will not fade, shrink, or crack. White, 7/8" H x 1/2" W x 10 ft. Also available in black (Part 90-3498-260). Made in the USA.

Why Choose the Steele Rubber Products 90-3611-260 Drip Rail?

The Steele Rubber Products 90-3611-260 is a drip rail — a distinctly different product from a compression seal or weatherstrip. Where a weatherstrip compresses to block air, insects, and moisture from passing through a closed gap, a drip rail works by actively redirecting water flow. Mounted above a door, window, or slide-out opening, the drip rail's profile catches water running down the RV exterior wall and deflects it away from the frame edge — intercepting runoff before it ever reaches the seal below.

This is why drip rail material is made from EPDM dense rubber rather than sponge rubber. Dense rubber is rigid enough to hold its profile shape and direct water consistently in a single direction — a sponge rubber profile would compress under water pressure and lose its water-shedding angle. The dense EPDM construction also ensures the rail maintains its shape through years of thermal cycling, UV exposure, and physical contact without deforming, fading, shrinking, or cracking.

The flush-mounted design is a key functional and aesthetic feature. The base of the drip rail profile is shaped so that when it is pressed onto the RV surface, the 3M bonded adhesive sits recessed behind the rail's lower edge — shielded from direct water contact. This protects the adhesive bond from the runoff the rail is designed to intercept, significantly extending the life of the installation. It also produces a clean, finished look with no exposed adhesive edges after installation.

💧 Active Water Diversion

Intercepts water running down the RV exterior wall and deflects it away from door, window, and slide-out frames — stops runoff before it reaches seals and causes water damage

🔩 EPDM Dense Rubber

Dense rubber construction holds the drip rail profile rigid under water pressure and thermal cycling — maintains its water-shedding angle without deforming, unlike sponge rubber alternatives

🏷️ Flush-Mounted, Adhesive-Shielded Design

Profile geometry shields 3M bonded adhesive from the very runoff it deflects — protects the bond long-term while delivering a clean, professional finished look with no exposed adhesive edges

🔧 No-Drill Peel-and-Stick Installation

3M bonded adhesive backing — no drilling, screws, or special tools required. Clean the surface, peel the backing, and press firmly into place. Installs best between 60°F and 104°F

⚠️ Installation Temperature & Surface Prep Note

Apply between 60°F and 104°F (15°C–40°C) for best adhesive bond strength. The temperature difference between the drip rail and the bonding surface should be as small as possible — avoid applying in direct sunlight on a very hot surface or in cold ambient conditions.

Surface Preparation: Completely remove any old drip rail material and adhesive residue from the mounting surface. Wipe the bonding area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry. The surface must be completely clean and dry — any wax, grease, moisture, or residue will significantly reduce adhesion strength and shorten the service life of the installation.

Note: Application temperature 60°F–104°F. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and residue-free before applying for maximum adhesion.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Active Water Diversion: Designed to intercept water running down the RV exterior wall and deflect it away from door frames, window frames, and slide-out openings — prevents runoff from reaching seals and causing leaks or water damage
  • EPDM Dense Rubber Construction: Dense rubber holds the drip rail profile rigid under water pressure and outdoor conditions — maintains its water-shedding angle through years of UV, ozone, and temperature exposure without deforming
  • Will Not Fade, Shrink, or Crack: Durable EPDM formulation resists the outdoor conditions that degrade lesser materials over time — maintains appearance and function through all seasons
  • Flush-Mounted Design Shields Adhesive: Profile geometry keeps 3M bonded adhesive recessed and protected from direct water contact — extends bond life and produces a clean, finished look with no exposed adhesive after installation
  • 3M Bonded Adhesive Backing: Superior-grade 3M adhesive — reliable, weather-resistant grip for RV exterior surface mounting
  • No-Drill, No-Tool Installation: Peel-and-stick application — no drilling, screws, rivets, or special tools required; installs quickly over a single window, door, or slide-out
  • Helps Protect Seals and RV Components: By diverting water before it reaches seals and frames, the drip rail helps extend the life of entry door seals, window seals, slide-out seals, and surrounding RV wall materials
  • Helps Prevent Interior Moisture Intrusion: Reduces the volume of water that reaches door and window seal perimeters — lowers the risk of moisture infiltration, interior dampness, and rot over time
  • White Color — Blends with Light-Colored RV Exteriors: White finish integrates cleanly with white or light-colored RV sidewalls and trim; also available in black (Part 90-3498-260) for dark-colored exterior applications
  • 10-Foot Pre-Cut Strip: Covers a standard RV entry door header, window span, or slide-out width in a single piece
  • Made in the USA: Manufactured by Steele Rubber Products to premium quality standards

🔧 Installation Overview

What You Need:
No tools required. Recommended supplies: isopropyl alcohol, clean cloth, tape measure, scissors or utility knife.

Basic Installation Steps:

1. Check Temperature: Confirm ambient and surface temp is between 60°F and 104°F (15°C–40°C) — minimize temperature difference between drip rail and bonding surface

2. Remove Old Rail: Completely remove any old drip rail material and adhesive residue from the mounting surface

3. Clean & Dry: Wipe the bonding surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry — do not apply to a damp, waxy, or contaminated surface

4. Measure & Cut: Measure the width of the door, window, or slide-out opening and cut the drip rail to length with scissors or a utility knife

5. Position & Apply: Position the drip rail above the opening where water runoff contacts the wall, peel the backing a few inches at a time, and press firmly along the full length to ensure complete contact with the bonding surface

6. Verify Orientation: Confirm the drip rail profile is oriented correctly so the angled face will direct water away from the opening below — refer to profile dimensions if uncertain

How to Install a Peel-and-Stick Drip Rail on Your RV

1. Choose Your Placement
Find where water tends to run—above doors, windows, or slide-outs. Mark the start and end points so the rail sits evenly and looks factory-installed. Make sure it’s angled to direct water away from the RV.

2. Clean the Surface
For a strong bond, prep is key. Wash the area with soap and water. If it’s extra dirty or greasy, use a heavy-duty cleaner to remove residue and ensure full adhesive contact.

3. Apply the Drip Rail
Peel back a few inches of the adhesive backing and press the rail into place, starting at your marked point. Work slowly, pressing firmly as you go. Avoid repositioning to keep the adhesive clean and secure.

Installation Tips:

  • Line up with existing trim for a clean, flush look

  • Adhesive sets on contact and fully cures in 72 hours

  • Best installed between 60–104°F

4. Trim and Finish
Once in place, cut off any excess at your end mark. That’s it — your RV is now better protected from rain and runoff!
