The Suburban Mfg 233237 is an OEM replacement flow sensor for the Suburban IW60 and IW60RL Nautilus on-demand water heaters. This sensor detects when water is flowing through the unit and signals the control board to begin the ignition sequence, so hot water is produced on demand rather than continuously. A failing flow sensor is a common reason a demand water heater won't fire up when a hot water tap is opened.
This flow sensor is designed specifically for the IW60/IW60RL models. Suburban's ST60 water heater uses a different flow sensor (part #233665), and the two are not physically interchangeable, as they mount in different orientations. Confirm the exact water heater model before ordering.
