OEM Suburban Suburban 350206 Room Air Blower Wheel – SF-Q Series Furnaces
Direct OEM replacement room air blower wheel for Suburban SF-Q and SF-FQ series "Quiet" RV furnaces. Circulates heated air from the furnace into your RV living space. High-quality plastic construction with metal set screw.

Overview

The Suburban 350206 is a genuine OEM replacement room air blower wheel (also called a squirrel cage fan) for Suburban SF-Q and SF-FQ series "Quiet" RV furnaces. This wheel is responsible for circulating heated air from the furnace into your RV through the duct system or front discharge grille.OEM SuburbanRoom Air Wheel

Suburban RV furnaces use a dual-wheel system – the room air wheel (this part) and a separate combustion air wheel. Both wheels attach to opposite ends of the same motor shaft but serve completely different functions and are isolated from each other.

🔄 Room Air Wheel vs Combustion Wheel

Room Air Wheel (This Part - 350206):
• Pulls cool air from inside your RV
• Blows it across the sealed combustion chamber to absorb heat
• Forces the heated air back into your RV through ducts/grille
• Mounts on the LONG shaft of the motor

Combustion Air Wheel (Different Part):
• Pulls fresh air from outside the RV
• Supplies air to the burner for combustion
• Exhausts combustion gases outside
• Mounts on the SHORT shaft of the motor

These two airflows are completely isolated from each other in a sealed combustion system.

Key Features

  • OEM Suburban replacement – genuine manufacturer quality
  • High-quality plastic construction – durable and lightweight
  • Metal set screw – secure attachment to motor shaft
  • CCW rotation – counterclockwise when viewed from shaft end
  • Balanced design – smooth, quiet operation
  • Direct drop-in replacement – no modifications needed
  • Squirrel cage design – efficient air circulation

Compatible Furnace Models

This blower wheel fits the following Suburban "Quiet" (Q) series furnaces:

SF-Q Series (Standard Quiet)
SF-20Q20,000 BTU
SF-25Q25,000 BTU
SF-30Q30,000 BTU
SF-35Q35,000 BTU
SF-42Q42,000 BTU
SF-FQ Series (Front Discharge Quiet)
SF-20FQ20,000 BTU
SF-25FQ25,000 BTU
SF-30FQ30,000 BTU
SF-35FQ35,000 BTU
SF-42FQ42,000 BTU
SFV-Q Series (Vertical Quiet)
SFV-30Q30,000 BTU
SFV-35Q35,000 BTU

⚠️ Important: This is for Q-Series Only

This blower wheel (350206) is specifically for the SF-Q and SF-FQ "Quiet" series furnaces. If you have a standard SF series furnace (without the "Q"), you need a different blower wheel:

350129 – For SF, SF-F, and SFV series (non-Q models)

Signs Your Blower Wheel Needs Replacement

  • Reduced airflow – weak heat output from vents
  • Unusual noises – scraping, rattling, or squealing sounds
  • Vibration – furnace shakes during operation
  • Furnace cycling on high limit – wheel not moving enough air
  • Visible damage – cracked, broken, or missing blades
  • Debris buildup – dust/dirt accumulation affecting balance
  • Wheel slipping on shaft – loose set screw or worn bore
  • Warped or deformed wheel – from heat damage
  • Sail switch not closing – insufficient airflow to trigger switch

💡 Why Airflow Matters

Proper airflow from the room air wheel is critical for furnace operation:

Sail Switch Activation: The airflow activates the sail switch, which must close for the ignition sequence to proceed. A damaged or dirty wheel may not produce enough airflow.

Heat Transfer: Air flowing over the combustion chamber absorbs heat. Reduced airflow means less heat delivered to your RV.

High Limit Protection: If airflow is insufficient, the combustion chamber overheats and the high limit switch shuts off the furnace. Repeated cycling damages components.

How It Works

When the thermostat calls for heat, the furnace motor starts and spins both blower wheels:

  1. Motor starts – begins spinning both attached wheels
  2. Room air wheel pulls air – draws air from RV interior through return grille
  3. Air passes over combustion chamber – absorbs heat from the sealed chamber
  4. Heated air expelled – forced through ducts into living space
  5. Sail switch activated – airflow closes sail switch, enabling ignition
  6. Continuous circulation – maintains heat until thermostat satisfied

🔧 Installation Tips

1. Disconnect all power – turn off furnace and disconnect 12V supply
2. Remove furnace access panel – access the blower assembly
3. Loosen set screw – use appropriate Allen wrench or screwdriver
4. Slide wheel off motor shaft – may require gentle wiggling
5. Clean motor shaft – remove any debris or corrosion
6. Install new wheel – slide onto long shaft (room air side)
7. Position correctly – ensure proper alignment with housing
8. Tighten set screw – secure but don't overtighten
9. Spin by hand – verify free rotation without rubbing
10. Test operation – reconnect power and verify proper airflow

Maintenance Tips

  • Inspect annually – check for cracks, debris, or damage
  • Clean carefully – use soft brush to remove dust buildup
  • Check set screw – ensure it's tight and wheel doesn't slip
  • Listen for noise – unusual sounds indicate problems
  • Replace if damaged – cracked blades cause imbalance and noise
