When your patio awning fabric tears, fades, or develops leaks, you don't need a new awning system -- you need the right replacement fabric. The Lippert V000334413 is a made-to-order 13.5-oz vinyl fabric cut to 16'1" wide with an 8-foot projection, designed as a direct replacement for 17-foot Solera, Dometic, and Carefree awning assemblies. Silver Fade finish on top, white underside -- a clean, classic look that reflects heat and holds up through seasons of use.
Lippert engineered this fabric for RVers who actually use their awnings -- not just for occasional shade, but for camping in hot sun, afternoon rainstorms, and cold shoulder-season trips. The 13.5-oz vinyl weight gives you meaningful resistance to tearing and UV degradation without making the fabric so stiff it becomes difficult to roll and unroll.
Heat-welded seams run along the critical stress points of the fabric, eliminating the needle holes and thread gaps that sewn seams create. Water sheds cleanly instead of wicking through. The underside is white, which reflects interior heat and keeps your slideout or patio area noticeably cooler on bright days.
Seams are thermally fused, not sewn, creating a watertight bond at every stress point. No thread gaps, no wicking.
Vinyl compound is tested to remain flexible and crack-free at -25 degrees F -- safe for four-season RVers and northern climates.
Includes a sewn-in poly cord channel along the leading edge for an optional LED light strip or rope light (light track and LEDs sold separately).
Designed to fit Solera, Dometic, and Carefree 17-foot awning assemblies using the same roller tube and end cap hardware you already own.
Fabric width and awning assembly width are not the same measurement. The 16'1" fabric width on this SKU is approximately 11 inches shorter than the full 17-foot awning assembly width. This is intentional and normal -- the fabric spans between the end caps, not wall-to-wall including the hardware. If your awning assembly measures 17 feet end-to-end, this is the correct fabric width to order.
Silver Fade is a gradient pattern that transitions from a deeper silver/gray tone to a lighter shade across the fabric width. The top surface carries the Silver Fade print and includes UV inhibitors in the vinyl compound. The underside is solid white, which reflects light and keeps the shaded area below cooler than a dark underside would.
Replacing awning fabric on a Solera, Dometic, or Carefree awning is a two-person job. The general process involves removing the roller tube from the awning arms, unwinding and removing the old fabric, attaching the new fabric to the roller tube (typically using the existing fabric staple rail or clamp system), and rewinding the fabric onto the tube at the correct tension before reinstalling.
Lippert backs this fabric with a limited 5-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. UV fading and physical damage from storms or misuse are not covered under warranty terms.
