Maintain continuous propane service from a dual-cylinder RV LP gas system with the Marshall Excelsior MEGR-253P-PT18 Excela-Flo automatic changeover regulator kit. This two-stage regulator automatically switches from an empty service cylinder to the reserve cylinder and includes two 18" pigtail hoses for connection to compatible RV propane cylinders.
The Marshall Excelsior MEGR-253P-PT18 combines a standard-capacity Excela-Flo two-stage automatic changeover regulator with two 18" propane pigtails. When the selected service cylinder is depleted, the regulator automatically redirects LP gas flow to the reserve cylinder to help maintain uninterrupted propane service.
An easy-to-read indicator displays green while the service cylinder is supplying gas and changes to red when that cylinder needs to be refilled. Two-stage regulation provides controlled pressure reduction for compatible RV LP gas systems, while the included pigtails simplify connection between the regulator and two compatible propane cylinders.
Automatically redirects propane flow from an empty service cylinder to the reserve cylinder
Reduces LP gas pressure in two stages for compatible RV propane systems
Visual indicator changes from green to red when the service cylinder needs refilling
Includes two MER425-series pigtail hoses for compatible dual-cylinder installations
The MEGR-253P-PT18 uses the standard-capacity MEGR-253 regulator. Verify that its 225,000 BTU/H primary-cylinder and 150,000 BTU/H reserve-cylinder capacities are sufficient for the combined demand of the RV's connected LP gas appliances.
In The Package: • Excela-Flo MEGR-253 Automatic Changeover Regulator • (2) 18" MER425 Propane Pigtail Hoses
Confirm that the existing RV LP gas system uses compatible 1/4" inverted-flare regulator inlets, a 3/8" FNPT outlet connection, and compatible propane cylinder valves before ordering.
LP gas regulators and pigtail hoses must be installed correctly and all connections checked for leaks before the system is placed back into service. Follow applicable codes and manufacturer procedures, and have installation performed by a qualified LP gas technician when required.
