The Blue Ox BX88453 Towed Vehicle Charge Line Kit helps keep the towed vehicle battery charged while it is being flat towed behind a motorhome. It connects the RV-side 12V charge circuit to the towed vehicle battery through a compatible flat towing wiring setup.
The charger requires at least 13.3 volts from the RV to enable charging and requires a ground between the towing vehicle and towed vehicle. It only charges when the RV engine is running, then isolates when not charging to help protect the battery and electrical system.

Designed for flat towing applications where the motorhome provides a compatible 12V charge source through the towed vehicle wiring connection. A minimum 13.3V RV-side input and a ground between the vehicles are required for charging. Confirm the 6-pin connector wiring, battery location, ground path, and complete flat towing electrical setup before installation.
1. Mount Charger: Choose a secure mounting point close to the towed vehicle battery and within reach of the black and red vehicle-side cables. 2. Route RV Cable: Route the red RV-side cable to the correct 12V charge pin on the compatible 6-pin connector, avoiding heat, sharp edges, moving parts, and fuel lines. 3. Connect Battery Leads: Attach the red ring terminal to the positive battery terminal and the black ring terminal to the negative battery terminal. 4. Verify Ground: Confirm a proper ground exists between the towed vehicle and towing vehicle before use. 5. Test Charging: Connect the RV and towed vehicle wiring, start the RV engine, and confirm the charge indicator status before flat towing.
