The Tornado is designed for permanent installation. It threads into a dedicated rinse port or a 1.5-inch tank opening and stays in place season after season. To use it, connect a standard 3/4-inch garden hose to the 6-foot exterior access hose, open the water supply, and let pressure do the work. The rotating head begins to spin automatically as flow increases, cycling high-pressure streams across the tank walls, floor, and ceiling until solids are broken up and flushed through the open drain valve.
Run the rinse cycle for 2 to 5 minutes after each dump -- or longer if the tank has been sitting. Close the drain valve briefly to let the tank fill partway, then reopen to flush out loosened debris for best results.
