Full-season, all-weather protection purpose-built for Class C motorhomes in the 29-to-32-foot range. The Gold Shield 5L uses a five-layer top construction with a micro-porous film core that blocks rain, UV, hail, bird droppings, and tree sap while still allowing moisture vapor to escape -- so you come back to a dry interior, not a mold problem.
Most generic RV covers are cut for Class A profiles. The Gold Shield 5L is shaped specifically for the cab-over nose and boxy roofline of Class C motorhomes. The cover measures 32.5 ft long x 8.83 ft wide x 9.08 ft tall -- sized to drape fully over the cab-over overhang and reach down past the wheel wells without riding up in the wind.
At 25 lbs, this is a substantial cover. Two people can install it comfortably in under 15 minutes using the weighted buckle straps -- no ladders required for the tie-down steps. The slip-seam contour design hugs the body of the rig to cut wind resistance and stop billowing on gusty nights.
Four polypropylene PLUS layers plus one micro-porous film layer on top. Blocks over 98% of dirt and dust while staying breathable.
Two polypropylene PLUS layers and one micro-porous film layer on the sides. Prevents rot and mildew while allowing airflow from all directions.
Heavy-duty zippered panels let you access your motorhome door without removing the entire cover -- essential for plugged-in storage situations.
Elastic hems at the front and rear corners plus an adjustable buckle strap system eliminate slack and prevent the cover from shifting during high winds.
The "5L" in Gold Shield 5L refers to the five-layer laminate used on the top surface -- the most weather-exposed part of any RV stored outdoors. The construction stacks polypropylene PLUS (a UV-stabilized, spunbond nonwoven) around a central micro-porous film. That film is the key: water droplets are too large to pass through, but water vapor molecules are small enough to escape. The result is a cover that sheds rain and snow on the outside while letting interior condensation vent outward.
The three-layer side construction uses the same micro-porous film sandwiched between two polypropylene PLUS layers. This is lighter than the top but still rated for water resistance, UV blocking, and mildew prevention along the vertical surfaces where wind-driven rain is the main threat.
This cover is designed for Class C motorhomes with a measured body length (not overall with hitch or tow bar) of 29 to 32 feet. The 32.5-foot cover length provides overhang at both ends to protect the cab-over nose and the rear cap fully.
When the cover comes off for the season, it folds down and stores in the included storage bag -- compact enough to fit in a basement compartment or under-bed storage. The package also includes a patch kit for field repairs if the fabric is punctured or torn during installation or by a falling branch.
You can wash the cover by hand or in a washing machine. For hand washing, install the cover on your RV, rinse it with a hose, then use a cloth and multi-purpose cleaner to scrub. Rinse again and either towel dry or let it air dry.
For machine washing, use the largest machine available, set it to gentle mode, and wash with mild powder detergent in cold water—avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Rinse the cover twice to remove all detergent, and always air dry.
