This cover is designed for two standard 20 lb (5-gallon) DOT propane cylinders positioned side by side -- the configuration found on the tongue of most travel trailers and the front compartment of many fifth wheels. It is not sized for 30 lb or 40 lb cylinders, and it is not intended for single-cylinder setups (see Flame King's single-tank cover line for those).
Before ordering, confirm your cylinders are standard 20 lb tanks (approximately 12 inches in diameter, 18 inches tall) and that they mount in a side-by-side arrangement on your tongue bracket or frame rail.
The cover slides down over your two 20 lb cylinders after they are mounted in your existing tongue bracket. No drilling is required for basic use. The design relies on the cylinders and bracket assembly to hold the cover in position. Some installers use hook-and-loop straps or bungee cords along the base to prevent wind lifting at highway speed -- this is common practice and hardware is not included.
