R410A has been the dominant RV AC refrigerant for years, but its GWP of approximately 2,088 makes it a target for phase-down under HFC regulations. R32 has a GWP of 675 -- more than two-thirds lower -- and zero ozone depletion potential (ODP). It also has a higher volumetric cooling capacity, which allows manufacturers to use a smaller refrigerant charge to achieve the same BTU output.
The GRCS13XAHB is designed to replace earlier GE ARC-series rooftop air conditioners. The footprint and ducting connection points are engineered to align with the ARC platform, but an upgrade kit is required when swapping out an existing ARC unit. The upgrade kit provides the correct gasket, mounting hardware, and any adapter components needed to complete the transition cleanly. Do not attempt to mount this unit without the appropriate upgrade kit if you are replacing an ARC-series model.
