GE Profile PLC13XAHB Low Profile RV Rooftop Air Conditioner -- Black
A high-performance 13,500 BTU rooftop AC engineered specifically for RVs where overhead clearance matters. At just 11 inches tall, the PLC13XAHB slips under low-clearance obstacles that stop standard-height units cold -- without giving up cooling power or durability.
The GE Profile PLC13XAHB is built for RV owners who want serious air conditioning without sacrificing the extra inches that can make the difference between fitting under a carport, awning structure, or low-bridge -- and not. At 11 inches of installed rooftop height, this unit is among the lowest-profile ducted-compatible 13,500 BTU rooftop ACs available for the standard 14 x 14-inch RV roof opening.
Inside, a high-performance motor paired with sound-dampening rubber grommets keeps vibration and mechanical noise well below what older ARC-series units produced. The result is quieter sleeping, quieter conversation, and a noticeably calmer cabin at highway speeds.
Only 11 inches tall above the roofline -- fits sites and covers that block standard-height RV ACs.
Full-power output for RVs up to approximately 40 feet. Handles desert heat without throttling down.
Rubber-grommet-mounted motor reduces vibration transfer to the ceiling assembly and coach structure.
Polymer shroud is formulated to resist UV degradation and hold its gloss through seasons of sun exposure.
RV rooftop ACs live a hard life -- constant vibration, UV bombardment, road debris, and rain that drives sideways at 65 mph. GE engineered the PLC13XAHB accordingly:
The PLC13XAHB is the direct replacement platform for earlier GE ARC-series rooftop RV air conditioners. If you are upgrading an existing GE ARC unit, the PLC13XAHB uses the same standard 14 x 14-inch roof cutout and mounting bolt pattern, simplifying the swap. Always verify your existing ceiling assembly compatibility before ordering -- see the ceiling assembly note below.
The PLC13XAHB rooftop condenser unit does NOT include a ceiling assembly (air distribution box/return air assembly). You must purchase a compatible GE Profile ceiling assembly separately to complete the installation. The ceiling assembly determines whether you get non-ducted (single-zone) or ducted air distribution. Verify ceiling assembly compatibility with your coach layout before purchasing.
This unit requires a 120V AC, 15-amp dedicated circuit (standard RV 30-amp or 50-amp service). It is NOT a 12V DC unit and will not operate on battery power alone. A minimum 2,800-watt generator is recommended for reliable start-up under load. Soft-start accessories (sold separately) can reduce startup amp draw if you are operating near generator capacity or sharing a 30-amp service with other loads.
