The difference between 1/2" and 5/8" hose isn't just 1/8 inch – it's a significant increase in water flow capacity. When you pull out the hose, Glendinning's patented freewheel gearmotor completely disengages. This means you're not fighting against any motor resistance – the hose extends with virtually no effort, even with the slightly heavier 5/8" hose. When it's time to retract, press the button and the motor automatically engages, smoothly recoiling the hose back onto the reel.
