When the original latch breaks or loses its spring tension, the door can swing open during travel — this replacement snaps in to restore a secure close. Fits thin panel walls up to 0.057" thick. Measure your door panel thickness before ordering: 00235 (this product) — Thin wall, up to 0.057" panel thickness 00245 — Thick wall, up to 0.125" panel thickness Installing the wrong version will result in a latch that either does not seat properly or does not retain the door securely.
