At a full 60 inches (5 feet), it eliminates the awkward positioning that comes with short hoses and keeps the cylinder or LP outlet safely away from your cooking area.
The hose features a 1/4" inner diameter rubber construction built to handle LP gas service. One end is a male cylinder thread fitting that connects to the grill or appliance inlet, while the other end uses a POL fitting (left-hand thread, standard for propane cylinders) along with a handwheel for tool-free tightening and quick disconnect at the tank.

POL stands for "Prest-O-Lite" -- the legacy left-hand thread fitting found on the service valves of most portable and larger propane cylinders. It predates the newer QCC1/Type 1 fitting. When threading a POL fitting, turn it counter-clockwise to tighten. The handwheel on this hose makes that process fast and hand-tight secure without needing a wrench.
If your cylinder has a newer QCC1 (Type 1) valve rather than an exposed POL valve, an adapter is required -- this hose does not include one. Check your cylinder's valve type before ordering.
