Heat-welded seams reinforce the fabric at the points that take the most stress: the roller hem, the lead rail hem, and the side edges. RV awning fabric is always ordered by the awning assembly size, not the fabric width measurement. This V000334411 fabric is 16'1" wide and is the correct replacement for a 17 ft awning assembly. The fabric is intentionally cut approximately 11 inches shorter than the full assembly width to allow proper fitment inside the end caps and roller tube hardware. If your awning arm-to-arm measurement is 17 ft, this is your fabric.
This fabric provides an 8 ft projection -- the distance the awning extends outward from the side of your RV when fully deployed. That's a full 8 ft of usable shade and rain cover over your slideout, patio area, or entry door. Projection is fixed by the fabric cut and cannot be altered after purchase.
