Connects your RV or motorhome's two-stage pressure regulator to the permanent gas piping system. 1/2" female flare swivel on one end, 3/8" male pipe thread on the other. 36" length, 3/8" ID. Max 350 PSI. Thermoplastic construction.
The MB Sturgis 100429-36-MBS is a low-pressure LP gas hose designed to connect the two-stage pressure regulator on your motorhome or travel trailer to the RV's permanent gas piping system. After the regulator steps propane down from tank pressure to the lower operating pressure your appliances use, this hose carries gas from the regulator outlet into the fixed piping that distributes propane throughout the RV.
The hose features a 1/2" female flare swivel fitting on one end — designed to connect to the regulator outlet — and a 3/8" male pipe thread (MPT) fitting on the other end, which threads into the RV's permanent gas piping system. The swivel design on the female flare end allows for easier alignment during installation without twisting the hose body. Built from thermoplastic hose material at 36" in length, the 100429-36-MBS is engineered for the demanding outdoor conditions and temperature swings typical of RV and motorhome propane systems.
Connects to your two-stage regulator's outlet — swivel design allows easier alignment during installation
Threads directly into your RV's permanent gas piping system at the opposite end
Standard length for regulator-to-piping connections on most motorhomes and travel trailers
Built for reliable low-pressure propane delivery within the RV's fixed gas distribution system
Before ordering, confirm the following: 1. Fitting type at each end: This hose has a 1/2" female flare swivel on one end and a 3/8" male pipe thread (MPT) on the other. Confirm these match your regulator outlet and gas piping connection. 2. Application: This hose is specifically intended to connect a two-stage regulator to the RV's permanent gas piping — not for tank-to-regulator (pigtail) connections, which use a different fitting configuration, and not for appliance-side connections. 3. Length: Confirm 36" is the correct length for your installation. This hose style is also available in other lengths, including 48". If you are unsure which hose configuration your system requires, consult your regulator or RV's gas system documentation, or contact MB Sturgis directly.
Installation Steps: 1. Shut Off Gas Supply: Close the gas supply at the tank or source before beginning any installation or replacement work 2. Verify Fitting Compatibility: Confirm the 1/2" female flare swivel and 3/8" MPT ends match your regulator outlet and gas piping connections 3. Connect the Flare End: Thread the 1/2" female flare swivel onto the regulator outlet's male flare fitting and hand-tighten, then secure with a wrench 4. Apply Thread Sealant: Use an appropriate gas-rated thread sealant on the 3/8" MPT connection per standard practice 5. Connect the MPT End: Thread the 3/8" male pipe thread fitting into the RV's permanent gas piping system 6. Tighten Securely: Tighten both connections to a secure, leak-free fit without overtightening 7. Leak Test: Restore gas supply and perform a soap-and-water leak test on both connections before use Gas line work should be performed or verified by a qualified technician. Always leak-test connections before placing the system into service.
