A professional-grade thermo rubber LP and natural gas hose assembly built for demanding RV, commercial, and industrial applications. Six feet of flexible, kink-resistant hose with dual 1/2" 45-degree female flare swivel fittings and a 350 PSI working pressure rating -- certified to UL569 so you can connect with confidence.
The MB Sturgis 100251-72 is a general-purpose high pressure LP gas hose designed to connect regulators, appliances, manifolds, and bulk supply systems where a full 6-foot reach is needed. The 1/2" inside diameter supports high-volume gas flow, making it suitable for furnaces, ranges, generators, and multi-appliance RV gas systems -- not just low-flow accessories.
Both ends terminate in 1/2" 45-degree female flare swivel fittings (SAE standard), which mate with the 1/2" male flare fittings found on most high-pressure regulators, appliances, and pigtail connectors. The swivel design lets you rotate the fitting to align with the mating connection without twisting the hose body, simplifying installation in tight compartments.
Rated for high-pressure LP and natural gas service. Handles supply-side connections upstream of the primary regulator.
Independently listed for LP and natural gas hose assemblies. Meets the safety standard required by most RV and manufactured housing codes.
Thermo rubber construction stays pliable in low temperatures -- important for outdoor RV connections in fall and winter camping.
1/2" 45-deg female flare swivels on each end let you thread onto fittings without twisting or kinking the hose.
Both ends use the standard 1/2" SAE 45-degree female flare connection. This is the same thread standard used on most high-pressure LP regulators, POL-to-flare pigtails, and appliance inlet fittings in North America. The swivel head allows rotation during tightening so the hose body lays naturally once installed.
If your application uses a different fitting type -- such as a 3/8" female flare, a POL fitting, or a male flare outlet -- you will need an appropriate brass adapter. MB Sturgis and other suppliers offer compatible adapters for most common configurations.
UL569 is the Underwriters Laboratories standard specifically covering LP gas piping hose assemblies used in RVs and manufactured housing. A UL569-listed hose has been independently tested for pressure, impulse cycles, bending, and material compatibility. Many campgrounds, RV parks, and insurance carriers require UL-listed hoses for gas system connections.
This hose is UL569 certified for both LP (propane/butane) and natural gas service. The thermo rubber compound is compatible with both fuel types. Always verify that all other components in your gas system (regulators, valves, appliances) are also rated for the specific fuel you are using.
Hand-tighten flare fittings first to confirm proper thread engagement, then wrench-tighten. Do not use thread sealant tape (PTFE tape) on flare connections -- flare fittings seal metal-to-metal and tape can contaminate the gas system. After installation, test all connections with a leak-detection solution before applying heat or igniting any appliance. Support the hose along its length if routing through a compartment to prevent abrasion against sharp edges.
MB Sturgis offers this same hose construction (100251 series) in multiple lengths. The 72" (6 ft) version -- part 100251-72 -- is the longest standard option and works well when the cylinder or supply point is not adjacent to the regulator or appliance inlet. If your application requires a shorter reach, look for the 12", 24", 36", or 48" versions in the 100251 series.
