A rugged, UL569-listed thermo rubber hose assembly built for high-pressure LP and natural gas service. The 48-inch (4 ft) length and swivel fittings on both ends make routing and final connection straightforward -- no pipe wrenches required to align threads. Rated to 350 PSI and flexible even in cold weather, this hose is a reliable choice for RV, commercial, and residential gas appliance connections.
The MB Sturgis 100251-48 is a general-purpose, high-pressure LP gas hose assembly designed for connections where a rigid pipe run is impractical or where vibration isolation is needed. The 1/2" inner diameter handles typical high-pressure gas flow demands, and the 45-degree female flare swivel fittings on each end seat securely against standard male flare fittings without twisting the hose body during tightening.
This hose is appropriate for connecting LP tanks to regulators, appliances to supply lines, or as a flexible section in a larger gas distribution system. The thermo rubber construction stays pliable in cold climates, reducing the risk of cracking or stiffening that can compromise a seal over time.
Handles high-pressure LP service upstream of the regulator and demanding appliance-side connections.
Listed for LP and natural gas -- meets the safety standard required by most inspectors and insurance carriers.
1/2" 45-deg female flare swivels let you tighten without twisting or kinking the hose body.
Thermo rubber jacket stays pliable at low temperatures, reducing cracking risk in northern climates and winter camping.
Standard fixed-end hoses can twist during tightening, stressing the hose body and creating micro-kinks near the fitting. The swivel design on the 100251-48 allows the hex fitting to rotate independently, so you get a proper torque on the flare seat without introducing tension into the hose itself. This extends service life and improves seal reliability.
Both ends of this hose terminate in 1/2" 45-degree female flare (SAE flare) fittings. The mating connections on your appliance or supply line must be 1/2" male flare. This hose does NOT have NPT pipe threads, quick-connect, or POL ends. If your fitting is a different size or thread type, you will need a brass adapter -- the hose itself is not adaptable in the field.
