Arvika 7002AF 7000 Series 2-Bike Rack Kit for A-Frame Travel Trailers

Carry up to two bikes on the A-frame of your travel trailer with the Arvika 7002AF 7000 Series Bike Rack. The complete kit includes the aluminum rack structure, reinforcement arms, mounting bracket, bike arms, gutters, wheel stops, straps, and installation hardware.

⚠ Important: Verify Tow Vehicle Tongue Weight Capacity Before Installation

The rack's 200 lb bike capacity does not mean every tow vehicle and trailer combination can safely carry an additional 200 lbs on the trailer A-frame.

The Arvika 7002AF weighs approximately 55 lbs and is mounted ahead of the trailer axle. Adding the rack and bikes can significantly increase the trailer's loaded tongue weight. Before towing, load the trailer exactly as it will be used for travel -- including the bike rack, bikes, propane, batteries, cargo, water, and other equipment -- and verify the actual tongue weight.

Never exceed the maximum tongue weight rating of the tow vehicle or hitch/receiver. Also remain within the trailer manufacturer's GVWR, A-frame/frame limits, axle ratings, and all other applicable towing ratings. The safe capacity of the complete towing setup is determined by its lowest-rated component.

If adding the rack and bikes causes the trailer tongue weight to exceed the tow vehicle or hitch manufacturer's rating, do not use the rack with that load.

A Purpose-Built Bike Rack for A-Frame Travel Trailers

The Arvika 7002AF is designed specifically for mounting over the A-frame tongue of compatible travel trailers. This positions the bikes between the tow vehicle and trailer rather than requiring rear-trailer or vehicle-roof storage.

The main rack structure is constructed from lightweight aluminum, while the trailer mounting bracket and bike-support components provide the strength needed for travel. Protected rotating clamps allow the mounting arms to adapt to a variety of bicycle frame shapes and attachment points.

2-Bike Capacity

Carries up to two bikes with a maximum combined bike load of 200 lbs when reinforcement arms are installed

A-Frame Mounting

Designed specifically for compatible A-frame travel trailer tongue installations

360° Rotating Clamps

Adjustable protected clamps accommodate a variety of bike frame shapes and mounting positions

Complete Rack Kit

Includes rack, reinforcement arms, mounting bracket, gutters, bike arms, wheel stops, straps, and hardware

Tire Width & Gutter Compatibility

The 7002AF includes standard gutters designed for bicycle tires under 2" wide. Wider bicycle tires require optional replacement gutters.

  • Under 2" Wide: Use the included standard gutters
  • 2" to 4.5" Wide: Use optional GUT-FB-3 3" gutters
  • Over 4.5" Wide: Use optional GUT-FB-5 5" gutters

Confirm A-Frame Fitment Before Ordering

Trailer A-frame layouts vary by manufacturer and model. Propane tanks, battery boxes, electric tongue jacks, storage compartments, and other equipment can affect mounting clearance. Verify the available A-frame space and mounting dimensions before ordering.

Rack Capacity vs. Towing Capacity

The 200 lb rating refers only to the maximum bike weight the rack is designed to support when the reinforcement arms are properly installed. It does not override the tow vehicle, hitch, trailer tongue, frame, axle, GVWR, or payload ratings.

Important Safety Information

  • Never exceed the tow vehicle manufacturer's maximum tongue weight rating.
  • Never exceed the hitch or receiver manufacturer's maximum tongue weight rating.
  • The rack weighs approximately 55 lbs before any bicycles are loaded.
  • Installing the rack and bicycles ahead of the trailer axle can increase loaded trailer tongue weight.
  • Measure or verify tongue weight with the trailer fully loaded as it will actually be towed, including the rack and bicycles.
  • Maximum bike load is 200 lbs only when the reinforcement arms are properly installed.
  • Without reinforcement arms, do not exceed 150 lbs of total bicycle weight.
  • The 200 lb rack capacity does not guarantee that a particular tow vehicle, hitch, or trailer can safely handle a 200 lb bicycle load.
  • Do not exceed trailer GVWR, axle ratings, A-frame/frame ratings, or other manufacturer-established limits.
  • Verify adequate clearance between the rack, bikes, tow vehicle, trailer, propane equipment, tongue jack, and other A-frame components before travel.
  • Use the correct gutters for the bicycle tire width.
  • Secure each bicycle with the required straps and verify all clamps and wheel stops before towing.
  • Inspect mounting hardware and strap tension before every trip and periodically during travel.
