The Camco 42148 (model RS500) Flying Insect Screen is a set of stainless steel mesh screens designed to install over the exterior louver openings of RV refrigerator vents. Wasps and mud daubers in particular are drawn to the warm air flowing from refrigerator vents, and they readily build nests inside the louvers — nests that block airflow and can cause the refrigerator's cooling unit to overheat, sometimes leading to serious cooling unit damage or, in absorption refrigerators, a safety hazard.
Each screen measures 19-3/4" x 1-5/16" and is designed for refrigerator vents with 19-3/4" louver openings — a size commonly found on Norcold refrigerator vents and similar non-Dometic refrigerator vent assemblies.
