When extended, it adds 12" x 13-1/2" of solid bamboo work surface — enough for a cutting board, a mixing bowl, or simply extra staging space. A metal drop-leaf brace locks the surface level when open, and the 3/4" bamboo panel is food-safe and durable enough for everyday prep tasks. When the meal is done, release the brace and the extension folds flat against the cabinet face.
Mounts to the edge of an existing countertop: 1. Hold the extension against the front edge of the countertop at the desired location 2. Mark and pre-drill pilot holes for the piano hinge screws 3. Attach the piano hinge to both the countertop edge and the extension panel 4. Fold the extension up, position the drop-leaf brace to support it from below, and verify the surface is level Note: Best installed at the end of a countertop run where the folded extension won't block cabinet drawers or doors below. Ensure there is adequate clearance for the panel to fold down fully when not in use.
