This kit is specified for aluminum and other metal roofs. If your RV has a rubber EPDM or TPO membrane roof, confirm compatibility with the putty tape before application. For membrane roofs, a lap sealant such as Dicor self-leveling sealant is typically used over the top of the flange in addition to -- or instead of -- butyl tape underneath.
