GE GRHS13XHHW -- Cool in Summer, Heat in Winter, Save Propane Year-Round
The GE GRHS13XHHW delivers 13,500 BTU of rooftop cooling plus true electric heat pump performance down to 25 deg F -- without burning propane. Built with eco-friendly R32 refrigerant, corrosion-resistant coatings, and noise-reducing components, this unit is engineered for full-timers and seasonal campers who want reliable, efficient climate control from a single rooftop unit.
Most RV air conditioners only cool. The GRHS13XHHW goes further: its integrated heat pump extracts warmth from outside air and delivers it inside, keeping your rig comfortable down to 25 deg F ambient without firing up the furnace. That means fewer propane fills, less generator runtime for heating, and more flexibility for shoulder-season camping.
R32 refrigerant carries 70% lower global warming potential than R410A while delivering strong thermal efficiency -- making this unit a forward-looking choice as refrigerant regulations tighten across North America.
Electric heating effective down to 25 deg F ambient -- reduce propane dependency in cool weather
70% lower GWP than R410A, zero ozone depletion, and better energy efficiency per pound of refrigerant
Coated coils and housing resist salt air and road chemicals -- suitable for coastal and high-humidity use
Noise-reducing motor mounts and fan blade geometry keep interior sound levels comfortable during sleep
R32 is a single-component (A2L mildly flammable) refrigerant. Service must be performed by a certified HVAC technician with R32-rated equipment. Do not attempt to top off or recharge with R410A -- the systems are not interchangeable. R32 cylinders and recovery equipment are widely available through HVAC wholesale suppliers.
The GRHS13XHHW is a rooftop condenser/evaporator unit. Most installations require a compatible ceiling assembly (air distribution box) already installed in the RV, or a separately purchased upgrade kit. Verify that your existing ceiling assembly is compatible before ordering. If you are replacing a GE ARH15AACW or similar GE rooftop unit, confirm the ceiling assembly model before assuming drop-in fit.
