Coleman Mach Cool-Only 24 VAC Compatible Coleman Mach 8330A743 Lateral Ducted ADB Ceiling Assembly -- Cool-Only

The OEM-spec ceiling assembly that connects your Coleman Mach rooftop AC unit to your rig's duct system. Built for cool-only operation and wired for standard 24 VAC wall thermostats, this is the right replacement when your original ceiling box cracks, warps, or the damper mechanism fails.

Direct-Fit Ceiling Assembly for Coleman Mach Ducted Systems

Coleman Mach's ADB (Air Distribution Box) ceiling assemblies are the interior half of their rooftop air conditioning system. The rooftop unit pulls heat out; the ceiling assembly distributes conditioned air through your rig's lateral duct network and returns warm cabin air back up through the return plenum. When the ceiling unit is damaged or the damper linkage breaks, cool air delivery suffers even if the rooftop compressor is running perfectly.

Part number 8330A743 is a lateral ducted configuration, meaning conditioned air exits through side ports that connect to the horizontal duct runs in the ceiling -- the standard layout for slideout-equipped coaches and longer floorplans where a single central register isn't enough coverage. This unit is cool-only; it does not support heat pump or electric heat strip operation at the ceiling assembly level.

Lateral Ducted Design

Side discharge ports tie directly into existing horizontal duct runs for even airflow distribution across multiple registers.

24 VAC Control Wiring

Compatible with standard 24 VAC RV wall thermostats. Works with Coleman Mach analog and digital 24 V thermostat families.

ADB Configuration

Air Distribution Box design integrates the damper, blower housing, and return air plenum in a single ceiling-mount unit.

OEM-Matched Fitment

Engineered to mount to the same roof opening and wiring harness as original Coleman Mach rooftop units -- no adapter kits required.

What This Assembly Includes

  • Complete ADB ceiling box with blower housing and damper assembly
  • Lateral duct discharge ports (both sides)
  • Return air plenum/grille mounting provisions
  • Pre-wired 24 VAC control harness connectors
  • Mounting hardware for attachment to rooftop unit base plate

Cool-Only -- What That Means for Your Install

This ceiling assembly is rated for cooling operation only. It does not include a heat pump reversing valve control board or electric heat strip. If your system currently provides heat via a heat pump or electric strip through the ceiling unit, this replacement is not a match -- you will need the heat-cool version of the ceiling assembly for your model. For supplemental heat in a cool-only system, a separate furnace or heat strip in a different zone handles that duty.

Thermostat Compatibility Check

This assembly is designed for 24 VAC wall thermostats -- the standard low-voltage control signal used on most Coleman Mach systems from the early 2000s through current production. It is NOT compatible with 12 VDC digital control systems or proprietary one-wire thermostat protocols used on some newer coach integrations. Verify your existing thermostat outputs 24 VAC before ordering.

Installation Tips

  • Label all wiring connections before removing the old ceiling assembly -- the 24 VAC harness, fan speed leads, and any limit switch wires must return to the correct terminals.
  • Inspect the foam gasket on the rooftop unit base plate. Replace the gasket if it is compressed or cracked to prevent warm-air bypass around the ceiling box joint.
  • Confirm duct collar diameter at both lateral outlets matches your existing flex duct before mounting -- mismatch here causes air leaks and reduced cooling capacity.
  • Cycle the blower at all speeds after install to verify damper travel is unrestricted and no rubbing occurs against the ceiling cavity framing.

Important Information

  • This is a cool-only ceiling assembly. Do not use as a direct replacement for a heat-cool or heat pump ceiling unit -- the control wiring and board are not interchangeable.
  • Requires a 24 VAC wall thermostat. Verify your thermostat output voltage before purchasing. 12 VDC systems are not compatible.
  • This listing covers the ceiling assembly only. The rooftop condensing/evaporator unit, thermostat, duct work, and grilles are sold separately.
  • Confirm your existing rooftop unit is a Coleman Mach model and that the base plate mounting pattern matches before installation.
  • Installation involves 120 VAC power wiring to the rooftop unit and 24 VAC control wiring. Disconnect shore power and battery before beginning any work. If you are not comfortable with RV electrical systems, have a qualified RV technician perform the install.
  • Inspect all duct connections and the rooftop gasket seal after installation. Air leaks reduce cooling efficiency and can introduce moisture into the ceiling cavity.
