The MTI Industry 25-742-R-BL-TR-KIT Safe-T-Alert alarm detector combines carbon monoxide and propane/LP gas detection in one 12V RV unit. It is designed for RV interiors where both CO and propane gas protection are needed.
This relay version is intended for systems that use a propane shutoff relay/solenoid circuit. The included trim ring helps cover older screw holes or previous detector cutouts during replacement.

This is the relay version of the 25 Series alarm detector. Retail fitment data lists this model with 4 wires, commonly used where the detector controls a propane solenoid/shutoff circuit. Do not replace a standard 2-wire detector with a relay model unless the RV wiring and propane shutoff setup are compatible.
Disconnect 12V power before removing the old detector. Verify the existing alarm uses a compatible 4-wire relay/solenoid-control setup, then connect the new alarm according to the included MTI instructions. Test the alarm and propane shutoff/relay function after installation.

Confirm the old detector model, wire count, relay/solenoid function, wall opening, trim coverage, color, and voltage before ordering. This relay version should be used only when the RV wiring and propane safety system require it.
If the alarm sounds, carbon monoxide symptoms are present, or propane odor is detected, evacuate the RV immediately, shut off propane if safe to do so, ventilate only when safe, avoid flames/sparks/electrical switches, and have the RV inspected before use. Do not ignore, disable, cover, paint, or relocate the alarm outside the manufacturer’s approved installation instructions.
