SecureLatch ball-and-pintle hitch combines a 2" trailer ball with an auto-locking pintle hook for versatile heavy-duty towing. Fits standard 2" receivers and supports up to 14,000 lbs. gross trailer weight when used with a compatible lunette ring.
The Curt 48407 SecureLatch combines a standard 2" trailer ball with a heavy-duty pintle hook, allowing one hitch to connect to either a traditional 2" ball coupler or a compatible lunette ring. Its integrated auto-locking system engages the primary pintle latch as the lunette ring is lowered into place, simplifying trailer hookup.
A built-in striker plate helps stop and center the lunette ring during coupling, while the cupped pintle hook holds the ring more tightly fore and aft to help reduce chucking and towing noise. Integrated safety-chain hangers also help keep chains elevated and away from the road.

The SecureLatch system automatically engages the primary latch, but the secondary safety pin must always be installed before towing. Never exceed the lowest-rated component in the complete towing system, including the tow vehicle, receiver hitch, ball or pintle hitch, coupler or lunette ring, and trailer.
