Manual top-wind tongue jack for A-frame travel trailers and utility trailers. 2,000 lb. capacity, 14" lift range, high-strength ergonomic fold-down handle, E-coat corrosion protection. Bracket pre-attached.
The BAL 29030B is the topwind version of BAL's 2,000 lb. A-frame tongue jack family — the same capacity, tube dimensions, and accessories as the sidewind 29025B, with the crank mounted at the top of the jack and designed to fold down flat during travel. The high-strength ergonomic handle sits completely clear of the tongue area when folded, making it a clean choice for trailers where side access to the jack is tight or where a lower profile during towing is preferred.
Like all BAL A-frame jacks, the 29030B uses precision heat-treated copper-alloyed metal gears, high-performance bearings, a pre-lubricated internal screw, and E-coat corrosion protection that exceeds the ASTM 2,000-hour salt spray standard. It is the most popular BAL 2,000 lb. tongue jack model and fits the broadest range of travel trailers, cargo trailers, and utility trailers.
• 1x BAL 29030B Topwind Tongue Jack (bracket pre-attached) Compatible BAL Accessories (Sold Separately): • 29056 / 29056B — Short Foot Pad (2" leg) • 29055 / 29055B — 7" Mid-Height Foot Pad (2" leg) • 29054 — 15" Extended Foot Pad (2" leg) • 29041 / 29041B — Swivel Caster for 2,000 lb. tongue jacks
The 29030B is for A-frame tongues only — not compatible with straight-tongue trailers. Topwind vs. Sidewind: If your tongue area has good top access and you prefer the handle to fold completely out of the way during travel, the 29030B topwind is the cleaner choice. If side access is easier at your hitch location or you want simpler field maintenance access to the gear housing, consider the sidewind 29025B instead — same capacity and tube dimensions.
Both models share the same 2,000 lb. capacity, lift range, tube dimensions, E-coat finish, and compatible accessories. The choice is purely about crank position and travel profile preference. Need more capacity? See the BAL 29033B (5,000 lb. topwind).
