Flow-Rite BA-MS-703 Gravity Feed Tank -- 5-Gallon Battery Watering Supply

When a pressurized water source is unavailable or impractical, the Flow-Rite BA-MS-703 gravity tank gives you a dedicated, self-contained water supply for battery watering systems. The 5-gallon tank works by elevation pressure alone, feeding water through the included 11 ft tube directly to your Flow-Rite single-point or multi-point battery watering setup -- no pump, no tap, no problem.

Reliable Water Supply for Battery Watering Where You Need It

Battery maintenance requires consistent, measured water delivery to avoid overfilling or underfilling cells. The BA-MS-703 gravity tank is designed specifically for situations where a fixed water line is not available -- think RV battery bays, off-grid storage areas, forklift charging stations, or remote equipment yards. Fill the tank, hang or position it above your battery bank, and let gravity do the work.

The included 11-foot feed tube gives you enough reach to position the tank conveniently while still connecting cleanly to your Flow-Rite watering kit. The inline strainer catches particulates before they reach the battery cells, protecting valves and extending system life.

5-Gallon Capacity

Holds enough distilled water to service multiple battery banks in a single fill.

11 ft Feed Tube

Long enough to position the tank at a convenient height above the battery bank.

Inline Strainer Included

Filters particulates from the water supply before they reach battery fill valves.

No Pump Required

Gravity-fed operation -- no electricity, no compressed air, no plumbing hookup needed.

Ideal Use Cases

  • RV and motorhome deep-cycle battery bays with no nearby water tap
  • Off-grid and boondocking maintenance -- fill the tank with distilled water before a trip
  • Golf cart and forklift battery maintenance in areas without fixed plumbing
  • Solar storage battery banks in outbuildings or sheds
  • Any location where running a water line to the battery area is impractical

How Gravity Feed Works with Flow-Rite Systems

The BA-MS-703 tank connects to the inlet of your Flow-Rite battery watering manifold via the included feed tube. Position the tank at least 12-18 inches above the battery bank to generate sufficient gravity pressure for the float valves in the Flow-Rite watering system to operate correctly. The higher the tank, the faster the fill -- but the float valves regulate the final level regardless of supply pressure, so overfilling is not a concern as long as the system is installed correctly.

Use Distilled or Deionized Water Only

Always fill this tank with distilled or deionized water. Tap water contains minerals and chlorine that contaminate battery electrolyte, reduce battery life, and can clog the inline strainer and fill valves over time. Do not use well water, filtered tap water, or RO water unless its mineral content has been verified to be near zero.

Part of the Flow-Rite Battery Watering Ecosystem

The BA-MS-703 gravity tank is an accessory designed to work with Flow-Rite single-point and multi-point battery watering kits. It replaces or supplements the need for a pressurized water source. For setups where a water line or hand pump is available, a gravity tank may be optional -- but for remote or mobile applications it is often the most practical solution. Pair with Flow-Rite watering kits for 6V, 8V, or 12V battery configurations.

Important Information

  • This tank is an accessory for Flow-Rite battery watering systems -- it does NOT include a battery watering kit, manifold, or fill valves.
  • Use distilled or deionized water only. Tap water will contaminate battery electrolyte and void battery warranties.
  • Position the tank above the battery bank. Insufficient elevation will result in slow or incomplete fill cycles.
  • Inspect the inline strainer periodically and flush or replace if clogged to maintain consistent water flow.
  • Do not use this tank for potable water, drinking water, or any food-grade application -- it is intended for battery maintenance use only.
  • Secure the tank so it cannot tip or fall during vehicle operation if used in a mobile application.
