Suburban Mfg High Pressure LP Part 523012 12 Ft High Pressure Propane Feed Line -- 3/8" Female Thread x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel

A full 144 inches of high-pressure propane line designed for the supply side of your RV LP system -- between the tank and regulator, or feeding a high-pressure appliance direct. Solid brass swivel fittings on both ends make connection straightforward and secure.

Long-Reach LP Supply Line for RV Propane Systems

The Suburban Mfg 523012 is a 144-inch (12-foot) high-pressure LP gas hose built for use on the high-pressure side of an RV propane system -- the supply run from a propane tank to the first-stage regulator or to a high-pressure appliance inlet. At 12 feet, it provides significantly more reach than standard 6- or 8-foot hoses, useful when routing around compartment walls, slideouts, or when positioning an external tank away from the rig.

One end terminates in a 3/8" female NPT thread fitting for connection to a standard high-pressure propane source or appliance inlet. The other end is a 3/8" female flare swivel fitting, which rotates freely during installation to prevent hose twist and allow proper alignment without cross-threading. Both fittings are brass construction, compatible with the LP gas environment and resistant to the corrosion that degrades zinc or pot-metal fittings over time.

144-Inch Length

Full 12 feet of hose gives you the reach to route propane supply lines through awkward compartment paths or to position portable tanks at a safe distance.

Swivel Flare Fitting

The 3/8" female flare swivel on one end rotates freely so you can make up the connection without twisting or stressing the hose body.

High-Pressure Rated

Designed for the supply side of the LP system -- the high-pressure run before the first-stage regulator steps gas down to working pressure.

Brass Fittings

Both end fittings are solid brass, compatible with LP gas service and resistant to corrosion in outdoor and under-chassis environments.

Where This Hose Is Used

This hose is intended for the HIGH-PRESSURE side of the LP system -- the run from the propane tank outlet to the inlet of an automatic changeover regulator or first-stage regulator. It is not a low-pressure appliance connector. Common applications include:

  • Connecting a vertical or horizontal propane tank to an RV's two-stage or automatic changeover regulator
  • Supply line from a portable POL-fitted tank to a high-pressure appliance (generator, grill, outdoor burner)
  • Extending an existing supply run when the factory hose is too short for the tank location
  • Replacement for a cracked, kinked, or age-degraded OEM supply hose on Suburban-equipped rigs

Fitting Compatibility Notes

The 3/8" female NPT end threads onto a standard 3/8" male NPT propane fitting -- found on many regulator inlets, high-pressure manifold outlets, and appliance inlets. The 3/8" female flare swivel end mates with a standard 3/8" male flare fitting, common on POL-to-flare adapters and tank pigtail outlets. If your tank has a POL valve, you will need a POL-to-3/8" male flare adapter (sold separately) -- this hose does not include one.

Installation and Safety Notes

  • This is a high-pressure LP hose -- never use it on the low-pressure (appliance) side downstream of the regulator without verifying pressure ratings.
  • Inspect the hose before each use. Replace immediately if you see cracks, abrasion through the outer jacket, kinking, or fitting corrosion.
  • Do not exceed the hose's rated working pressure. Do not use in applications requiring a CSA or DOT-certified hose unless this part is confirmed to carry that certification.
  • Apply leak-detection solution (not petroleum-based soap) to all connections after installation. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
  • Route the hose away from heat sources, exhaust, and sharp edges. Secure with appropriate clamps or ties to prevent chafing.
  • LP gas hoses have a finite service life. Follow NFPA 58 guidelines and replace hoses showing any sign of deterioration regardless of age.

Maintenance Tips

  • Wipe fittings clean before connecting to remove dirt that could compromise the flare seat seal.
  • When storing the hose, coil it loosely -- never fold or crease. Store away from UV exposure when possible.
  • Check the flare fitting seat for nicks or debris if a leak is detected; a damaged seat cannot be sealed with additional torque.
  • Use two wrenches when tightening the swivel end -- one to hold the hose body, one to turn the fitting -- to avoid twisting the hose.

Important Information

  • High-pressure side only: This hose is rated for use on the supply side of the LP system, before the regulator. Do not use as a low-pressure appliance connector unless you have confirmed it is rated for that application.
  • POL adapter not included: If your propane tank uses a POL valve, you will need a POL-to-3/8" male flare adapter, sold separately.
  • Inspect before every use: Replace the hose at any sign of cracking, abrasion, kinking, or fitting damage. Do not attempt to repair a damaged LP gas hose.
  • Leak test required: After installation, test all connections with approved leak-detection solution. Never use an open flame.
  • Propane is heavier than air: In the event of a leak, gas can accumulate in low areas. Ventilate immediately and do not operate any ignition source.
  • Not for high-flex or dynamic applications: Route and secure the hose to minimize movement. Repeated flexing at the fittings can cause fatigue failure over time.
