The N1422D is an inner garnish — it installs on the interior ceiling of your RV to finish the inside of a skylight opening. It is not a roof-mounted outer dome. If you need a replacement for the exterior roof-mounted dome, you need a matching outer skylight (such as the SL1422W, SL1422S, or SL1422C). This product is for the interior ceiling piece only — no roof access is required for installation.
The Specialty Recreation N1422D is the interior ceiling garnish for RVs with 14"×22" ceiling openings — the most common rectangular skylight size. Over time, interior domes yellow, fog, and crack from UV and moisture exposure. The N1422D replaces the degraded dome from inside the coach without any roof work, restoring clear natural light and a clean interior ceiling appearance.
The white ABS frame blends with most RV ceiling panels, and the clear polycarbonate bubble passes maximum light from the exterior skylight through to the living space below. At 5" bubble height the dome has good clearance for the ceiling-to-roof gap typical of most RV builds.

Unlike outer dome skylights (which can be equal to or larger than the opening), inner garnishes must match the ceiling hole size exactly. This skylight fits a 14"×22" ceiling opening only. Measure your ceiling opening carefully before ordering. An inner garnish that is too small will fall through; one that is too large will not seat flush against the ceiling surface.
The Specialty Recreation Inc. product warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for 1 year from the date of purchase. Warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper installation.
