The R880C-TAK is configured for counter-clockwise (CCW) shaft rotation as viewed from the shaft end. This matches the output direction of most standard tractor PTO shafts when driven through the included chain-drive coupler. If your drive arrangement requires CW rotation, a different pump configuration is needed. Confirm your PTO rotation direction before purchase.
The pump shaft is 15/16" diameter with a standard keyway. Inlet and outlet ports are 1" FNPT (female national pipe thread), compatible with standard 1" NPT hose fittings and plumbing. Use thread sealant on all NPT connections -- these are tapered threads and require sealing compound or PTFE tape to prevent weeping under pressure.
The cast iron pump body is well suited for most water-based agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and herbicides. However, cast iron is not appropriate for use with highly acidic liquids, bleach-based compounds, or strongly corrosive solvents. Nitrile or EPDM roller and seal materials (confirm with Remco for specific elastomer spec on this model) determine chemical compatibility for the internal wetted components.
