The Steele Rubber Products 90-3418-265 is a unique and custom-designed 2" wide press-in slide-out wiper weatherstrip engineered as a direct replacement for the original seal on cable-operated slide-out systems. Unlike track-and-channel bulb seals, this seal simply presses into place — no tools, adhesive, or track hardware required — making it one of the easiest RV slide-out seals to install.
Constructed entirely from a proprietary EPDM rubber compound that is highly wear and weather-resistant, this seal incorporates several significant engineering improvements over the original factory seal. A heavily reinforced insertion-stem and wiper-stem junction point prevents the seal from pulling out or tearing during repeated slide-out cycles. A crown tab increases wiping strength and prevents water intrusion while giving the installation a clean, finished appearance. A ball-tipped wiper ensures smooth, consistent wiping action as your slide-out box extends and retracts.

What You Need: No additional hardware, track, or adhesive required. This seal presses directly into the existing slot on your cable-operated slide-out frame. Basic Installation Steps: 1. Inspect Existing Seal: Confirm your slide-out uses a cable-operated system with a press-in seal slot — this seal is not compatible with track-channel or push-on wiper systems 2. Remove Old Seal: Pull the worn seal out of its slot along the full length to be replaced 3. Measure & Cut: Cut the new seal to the required length using scissors or a sharp utility knife 4. Press Into Place: Align the insertion stem with the slot and press the seal firmly into place along the full length, ensuring it seats completely 5. Test the Slide: Extend and retract the slide-out to confirm the wiper moves smoothly and the seal seats properly against the RV body
