This heavy-duty carrier features two parallel 71.5" x 6.375" carrier tracks spaced 12.75" apart, providing stable platforms for two motorcycles with a combined capacity of 600 lbs total (500 lbs maximum per rail). The carrier handles motorcycles with wide tires and includes movable wheel stops for perfect positioning of each bike.
The VH-55DM features reversible rails that can be configured for loading from either side of the vehicle, adjustable tie-down bars for custom bike fit and easy storage, and a 36" main tube for optimal weight distribution. The carrier includes anti-tilt lock bracket to eliminate wobble, 4 retractable tie-down bars, 2 wheel stops, and 2 reflectors. Download the VersaHaul VH-55DM Double Motorcycle Carrier Instruction Manual Assembly & Installation Overview: Connect 36" main tube to two carrier tracks (71.5" x 6.375" each). Rails are spaced 12.75" apart. Install anti-tilt lock bracket. Position wheel stops on carrier tracks. Mount 4 retractable tie-down bars. Insert assembled carrier into 2" hitch receiver and secure with hitch pin. Attach reflectors. Two-person installation recommended due to 118 lb weight. Reversible Rails Feature: Rails can be reversed for loading from either driver or passenger side. Configure for best access in your garage/driveway. Distance between rails and bumper is adjustable. Loading Two Motorcycles: 1. Deploy VH-55 RK loading ramps (sold separately) 2. Load first motorcycle onto left carrier track 3. Roll forward until front wheel reaches wheel stop 4. Secure first motorcycle with tie-down straps using retractable tie-down bars 5. Load second motorcycle onto right carrier track 6. Roll forward until front wheel reaches wheel stop 7. Secure second motorcycle with tie-down straps 8. Remove and store ramps in vehicle 9. Verify both motorcycles are stable 10.
