Oversized 10"x10" steel foot pads that mount permanently to any jack leg and eliminate sink-in on soft ground. Universal fit for landing gear, scissor jacks, tongue jacks, and single-leg stabilizing jacks. Low profile stays on the jack during travel — no pad to lose or forget. Set of 2 with brackets and hardware.
The BAL 29160 Big Bad Foot Pads solve the most common jack problem at soft-ground campsites: jack feet sinking into grass, mud, or gravel under the static load of a parked trailer. Standard jack feet have a small contact area — the 29160 pads are 10" x 10" squares that dramatically increase the footprint and distribute the load over a much larger ground area, preventing sink-in.
The key advantage over loose jack pads or blocks is the permanent mounting design. The 29160 brackets clamp onto the jack leg and stay there — when you lower the jack, the pad is already attached and in position. No carrying separate pads, no hunting for them in the storage compartment, no forgetting them. The low-profile design doesn't interfere with jack travel or retraction, so the pads ride along during storage and are ready to contact the ground the moment the jack is extended. Heavy-duty thick-gauge steel with a rust-inhibitive finish.
• 2x 10"x10" steel base pads • Adjustable mounting brackets • Mounting hardware Jacks sold separately.
Loose plastic jack pads and wood blocks are the traditional solution for soft-ground sink-in — but they require separate storage, need to be retrieved and placed before every setup, and are easy to forget or lose. The 29160's permanent bracket mount eliminates all of that: the pads clamp to the jack legs and stay there. Extend the jacks and the pads are already in position on the ground. Retract the jacks and the pads retract with them. One installation, permanently set up.
