At 1 micron, this cartridge goes well beyond basic sediment filtration. It mechanically traps Cryptosporidium and Giardia cysts, particles, chlorine byproducts, and other common municipal treatment residuals. Carbon block construction also reduces hydrogen sulfide odors often found in well-fed campground systems.

What Carbon Block Does That Sediment Filters Cannot

Standard string-wound or pleated sediment cartridges capture particles but do nothing for dissolved chlorine, odors, or biological cysts. Carbon block combines mechanical filtration with adsorption in a single stage:
