By securing a base ring permanently to your chosen surface — a dock, deck, patio, swim platform, or campsite pad — you create a dedicated grill station that accepts the 30" pedestal with a simple quick-release click, then releases it just as easily for storage when grilling is done.
The pedestal is based on the Garelick quick-release table pedestal system — a proven design that provides rock-solid stability in use and fast tool-free removal when you're ready to stow. The 2-1/4" diameter pedestal stands 30" tall, positioning the grill at a comfortable working height. With a 200 lb load capacity, it handles the full weight of any Kuuma grill with ample safety margin. Additional base rings (sold separately as 58261) can be installed in multiple locations, so you can move the same pedestal between your dock, deck, and patio without needing separate mounts for each spot.

The 58184 is a floor/surface-mounted pedestal — the base ring permanently bolts to a flat surface such as a deck, dock, swim platform, or patio. It is not a rail-clamp or handrail-mount product. Installation Steps: 1. Select Mounting Location: Choose a flat, structurally sound surface — dock deck, patio, swim platform, or campsite pad 2. Install Base Ring: Position the base ring at your chosen location and secure it to the surface using the included hardware and any additional fasteners appropriate for your surface material 3. Attach Grill to Pedestal Top: Use the included grill mounting hardware to secure your Kuuma grill to the top of the pedestal 4. Insert Pedestal into Base Ring: Drop the pedestal into the installed base ring and engage the quick-release mechanism 5. To Remove: Disengage the quick-release mechanism and lift the pedestal free of the base ring — the base ring remains mounted to the surface 6. Adding More Locations: Install additional base rings (58261) at other desired locations — the same pedestal can be inserted into any of them Refer to included installation instructions for complete fastener specifications and surface preparation guidance.
