CamcoPart 36003Winterization EssentialCamco 36003 Antifreeze Hand Pump Kit

Skip the compressor and keep it simple. This hand-operated pump lets you draw RV-safe antifreeze directly from the jug and push it through your waterlines and supply tanks -- no electricity, no air pressure, no special tools required. A straightforward solution for seasonal winterization of your RV, camper, or travel trailer.

Manual Antifreeze Delivery for RV Winterization

When temperatures drop and it is time to protect your RV plumbing, the Camco 36003 Hand Pump Kit gives you direct, mess-free control over where antifreeze goes in your water system. Insert the 12-inch inlet tube into your antifreeze jug, prime the pump, and push non-toxic antifreeze through the 2-foot outlet tube into each fixture and line until you see the pink fluid at every faucet, toilet, and drain.

This kit is a reliable low-tech tool for RV owners who want to winterize without draining every drop of water from the system using compressed air. Combined with a water heater bypass kit (sold separately), you can protect the entire plumbing loop without wasting antifreeze filling the water heater tank.

No Power Needed

Fully manual, hand-operated pump works anywhere -- no outlet, no compressor, no battery required.

Controlled Flow

Pump antifreeze line by line, fixture by fixture, so you know every section of pipe is protected.

Compact Kit

Entire kit weighs just 0.83 lbs and stores in a small bag or tool bin for next season.

Ready to Use

Includes hand pump, 2 ft outlet tube, and 12 in inlet tube -- everything you need to start pumping.

What Is Included

  • (1) Hand pump
  • (1) 2 ft outlet tube
  • (1) 12 in inlet tube
Tip: Pair With a Bypass Kit

Camco and other manufacturers offer water heater bypass kits that isolate your water heater from the plumbing loop. Using one before you pump antifreeze prevents you from filling the water heater tank -- which can hold 6 to 10 gallons -- with antifreeze you do not need to use. This saves antifreeze and time.

How to Use

The basic winterization sequence with this pump kit:

  • Install a water heater bypass kit if your rig is not already equipped with one.
  • Insert the 12-inch inlet tube into your jug of non-toxic RV antifreeze (typically propylene glycol-based, rated to protect at least to -50 deg F).
  • Connect the 2-foot outlet tube to the pump outlet and route it to the inlet side of your water pump or city water connection.
  • Operate the hand pump to push antifreeze into the lines.
  • Open each faucet (hot and cold), toilet valve, and outdoor shower one at a time until pink antifreeze flows from each one, then close.
  • Pour a small amount of antifreeze directly into each drain p-trap to protect sink and shower drains.
Antifreeze Not Included

This kit is a pump delivery system only. RV-safe non-toxic antifreeze (propylene glycol-based) must be purchased separately. Do not use automotive or ethylene glycol antifreeze in any potable water system.

Storage and Care

After use, flush the pump and tubes with clean water. Store dry to prevent residue buildup inside the tubes. The tubes are replaceable standard vinyl tubing if they become kinked or cracked over time.

Important Information
  • This pump kit is NOT designed for use with gasoline, kerosene, or any petroleum-based fluids.
  • Do NOT use automotive antifreeze (ethylene glycol) in any RV water system -- it is toxic. Use only non-toxic RV/marine antifreeze.
  • A water heater bypass kit is strongly recommended before pumping antifreeze to prevent filling the water heater tank unnecessarily.
  • Antifreeze is not included with this kit and must be purchased separately.
  • Inspect tubing before each use. Cracked or kinked tubing should be replaced before winterizing.
How to Use:
1. Disconnect all outside water sources.
2. Attach the outlet tube to the RV city water connection.
3. Attach the other end to hand pump side spout.
4. Attach the inlet tube to the bottom spout of the hand pump.
5. Submerge the other end of the inlet tube in an antifreeze jug and start pumping.
Note: Make sure antifreeze is running through both hot and cold water lines. Start with the highest point on the hot water side and work your way down from sinks to toilet. Run about 2 pints of antifreeze through each water line.
