A reliable, code-approved link between your 20 or 30 lb propane cylinder and your RV regulator or 4-port brass tee. Built with thermal and excess-flow protection so a line failure or fire event doesn't turn into a bigger emergency. At 36 inches, it gives you enough reach to connect a secondary tank without crowding your propane compartment.
The weakest link in many RV propane systems is the hose that runs from the cylinder valve to the regulator. Cheap or aging hoses crack, leak, and lack the safety features required for modern RV use. Camco's 59173 is CSA certified and built to handle the demands of full-time RV living, weekend camping, or auxiliary tank setups.
The ACME (POL-style) fitting threads onto standard Type 1 OPD valves found on all refillable 20 and 30 lb DOT cylinders. The 1/4" male inverted flare on the other end connects directly to most two-stage and single-stage RV regulators, or to any port on a Camco or compatible 4-port brass tee when running a multi-cylinder configuration.
Built-in thermal shutoff activates if the hose is exposed to fire, cutting off gas flow before a small problem becomes catastrophic.
Automatic excess-flow valve closes if the downstream line ruptures or is severed, preventing uncontrolled propane release.
ACME inlet fits standard OPD cylinder valves on 20 and 30 lb tanks. 1/4" male inverted flare outlet connects to most RV regulators and brass tees without adapters.
Meets Canadian Standards Association requirements for propane hose assemblies -- accepted by campgrounds and inspectors across the US and Canada.
The ACME inlet (also called a POL-ACME or Type 1 ACME) is the standard connection for all refillable propane cylinders sold in North America after 1998. If your tank has an OPD (Overfill Protection Device) valve -- identifiable by the triangular hand wheel -- this hose connects directly with no adapter needed.
The 1/4" male inverted flare outlet is the standard inlet thread for the overwhelming majority of RV and trailer propane regulators. If your regulator uses a different inlet fitting, a compatible brass adapter is required (sold separately).
