The Cummins Onan 155-3481-01 is a complete exhaust tailpipe kit for HGJAB (Marquis Gold) and related QG 5000, QG 6500, and QG 7000 series RV generators. It connects the generator's internal downtube — which exits the generator enclosure — to the final exterior tailpipe that routes exhaust clear of the RV.
The tailpipe has an inside diameter of 1.5", designed to slip over the generator's 1-3/8" O.D. downtube. The 22" length with 9" drop accommodates standard floor-mounted and side-mounted installation configurations. A clamp and hanger are included to complete the installation without sourcing additional hardware.
Cummins Onan HGJAB generators have a built-in USDA Forest Service-approved spark-arresting muffler inside the generator enclosure. The tailpipe is required to complete the exhaust system — it must be installed at the time of generator installation and before operating in any location, including national forests and federal lands where a functional spark-arresting exhaust is required by law.

The two versions are otherwise identical in connection size and included hardware — only the tailpipe length differs. Installation requirement: Per Cummins Onan installation documentation, operating the generator without a properly installed tailpipe is not permitted. On federal lands, a functional USDA Forest Service-approved spark-arresting exhaust system is required by law. The spark arrestor is built into the HGJAB generator enclosure; the tailpipe completes the system.

If you are replacing an existing tailpipe, match the length of the original.
