The Cummins Onan A062T421 is the current OEM carburetor for the KY MicroQuiet QG 4000 generator — specifically the EVAP (evaporative emissions compliant) version of model 4KYFA-6747, beginning at Spec M. It supersedes A041D744, which in turn replaced the earlier 146-0881.
The carburetor controls the fuel-to-air mixture delivered to the engine. Common failure symptoms that indicate carburetor replacement is needed include surging at idle or under load, hard starting, rough running, and the generator shutting down under load. A new OEM carburetor restores correct fuel metering and smooth, stable operation.
This is the carburetor body only — gaskets are not included and must be ordered separately. The OEM gasket kit is A058G429, which includes all three gaskets required for installation (insulator gasket 0146-0531, carburetor gasket 0146-0533, and gasket 0140-2771-01).

The A062T421 fits the EVAP version of 4KYFA-6747 (Spec M and later) only. Non-EVAP KY generators beginning Spec M use a different carburetor (A041D736). KY generators from Spec A–L use different carburetors entirely (146-0881 for EVAP, 146-0803 for non-EVAP). Confirm your generator's complete model number — including the EVAP designation — from the nameplate before ordering. Installing the wrong carburetor will result in poor performance and incorrect emissions compliance.
