The 90-02-4725 is the maximum-drop shank in the Equal-i-zer 2-1/2" receiver lineup — providing 12" of drop for HD trucks where the receiver sits far above the trailer coupler. This scenario is most common on heavily lifted HD trucks running 2-1/2" receivers, where standard and specialty shanks in the lineup don't reach the correction needed to bring the trailer level.
The 90-02-4725 is the dedicated 2-1/2" receiver version of the maximum-drop Equal-i-zer shank — its counterpart for 2" receivers is the 90-02-4711. Where the 90-02-4711 fits both 2" and 2-1/2" receivers, the 90-02-4725 is specifically sized and designated for the 2-1/2" square receiver tube. At 15" of rise when flipped, it also covers setups where the coupler sits significantly above the receiver. If your system came with a shank, this is a replacement or upgrade for setups requiring more drop. 2. 2-1/2" receiver only: This shank is sized for the 2-1/2" square receiver tube. If your receiver is the standard 2" size, see the 90-02-4711 instead — it fits both 2" and 2-1/2" receivers and provides the same 12" drop / 15" rise. 3. Measure your required drop carefully: Equal-i-zer measures from the inside top of the receiver to the base of the hitch ball. Follow Equal-i-zer's procedure: • Measure from the ground to the inside top of the receiver (vehicle loaded, on level ground) • Measure from the ground to the trailer coupler height (trailer loaded, on level ground) • The difference is your required drop 4.
