The Fasco D219 is a compact, thermally protected permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor built for reliable service in fan and blower applications. With a 3.3" diameter frame, totally enclosed construction, and reversible rotation, it handles a wide range of HVAC, ventilation, and light-duty blower duties. The run capacitor (4 MFD / 370V) ships with the motor -- no separate sourcing required. Also sold and cross-referenced under NBK part number 20608.
The D219 sits in Fasco's well-established "Type U" shaded-pole and PSC compact motor family. The 3.3" (84 mm) frame diameter is a common standard in residential and light-commercial HVAC equipment, making the D219 a frequent replacement candidate for OEM motors in evaporator fan assemblies, small blower wheels, exhaust fans, and general ventilation units.
Permanent split capacitor (PSC) design delivers higher efficiency and better starting torque compared to shaded-pole motors of similar size. At 1.4 amps full-load current draw on a standard 115V / 60 Hz circuit, it runs cool and efficiently within its rated Class B insulation system.
Built-in thermal overload protector shuts the motor down if it overheats, preventing winding damage and reducing fire risk in enclosed installations.
Rotation direction can be changed at installation, giving flexibility when replacing motors in equipment where airflow direction matters.
Ships with a 4 MFD / 370V run capacitor -- the correct value for PSC operation. No guesswork or separate purchase needed.
Totally enclosed construction keeps dust, debris, and moisture out of the windings, extending service life in real-world installation environments.
The output shaft is 5/16" diameter with a flat, making it compatible with a wide range of blower wheel hubs and fan blade hubs that use a setscrew or clamp-style retention. The 2.3" shaft extension provides enough length for most standard blower wheel installations without requiring a shaft extender.
Twelve-inch lead wires give the installer adequate slack for routing inside equipment cabinets or junction boxes without splicing extensions in most standard applications.
Before installing, confirm the blower wheel bore matches the 5/16" shaft diameter. If replacing an older shaded-pole motor, note that PSC motors require the included run capacitor to be wired in -- do not omit it. Verify mounting bracket or endshield compatibility with your application, as the D219 uses standard Fasco Type U endshield geometry.
