Without levelwind, this much hose would pile up unevenly and potentially jam. With it, 100 feet stores as efficiently as possible.
When you're storing 100 feet of hose, how it coils matters. Standard reels with a fixed guide roller work fine for shorter lengths, but at 100 feet, the hose can pile up unevenly, bunch in one area, or even jam the reel.
