MB Sturgis CGA 8.3 Certified Made in USA MB Sturgis 100304-48-MBS -- Model 250 Quick-Disconnect Propane Hose, 3/8" Female Flare, 4 Ft

Skip the threaded connection fumbling at the outdoor kitchen. This 4-foot LP gas hose snaps into any Model 250 quick-disconnect outlet and delivers clean propane flow to portable grills, single-burner stove tops, and other flare-fitting appliances. Rated to 350 PSI and CGA 8.3 certified -- built for RV use, not improvised with hardware-store parts.

Snap-Connect Propane for Your RV Outdoor Kitchen

The MB Sturgis 100304-48-MBS is designed specifically for RV owners who run a quick-disconnect outlet at their outdoor kitchen or utility bay. One end is a 1/4" male Model 250 quick-disconnect that clicks in and locks without tools or hand-tightening. The other end is a 3/8" female flare fitting -- the standard thread found on most portable propane grills, single-burner stove tops, and tabletop burners.

The female flare end features a swivel collar, so you can seat the fitting without twisting the hose. Four feet of hose length keeps a compact footprint at the side of the rig while giving your appliance room to sit on a camp table or side shelf without pulling tight.

Model 250 Quick-Disconnect

1/4" male QD plug snaps into any Model 250 outlet -- no wrenches, no thread sealant, no over-tightening.

3/8" Female Flare Fitting

Connects directly to portable grills, stove tops, and other LP appliances with a standard 3/8" male flare inlet.

350 PSI Rated Hose

Thermoplastic hose rated to 350 PSI max working pressure -- well above low-pressure appliance demand.

Swivel Collar for Easy Connection

The swivel collar on the flare end lets you tighten the fitting without twisting or kinking the hose body.

What the Quick-Disconnect System Does for You

RV propane quick-disconnect outlets (Model 250 standard) are factory-installed on many coaches and fifth wheels at the outdoor kitchen, side utility compartment, or rear bumper area. They provide a keyed, self-sealing port -- gas flow stops automatically when the hose is disconnected, so there is no need to shut off the tank valve just to swap appliances.

This hose lets you treat your outdoor grill like a power tool: plug it in when you need it, unplug it and stow it when you are done. No wrench, no thread tape, no checking for a slow seep after every connection.

CGA 8.3 Certified -- This hose assembly meets the CGA (Compressed Gas Association) Standard 8.3 for LP-gas hose assemblies. That certification covers burst pressure, leak integrity, and fitting pull-out strength -- not just a basic pressure rating.

Fitment and Compatibility

This hose is the right choice when your appliance has a 3/8" male flare inlet and your RV's outdoor quick-disconnect outlet is the Model 250 (1/4" male QD plug) standard. Verify both ends before ordering:

  • Outlet side: must be a Model 250 female quick-disconnect receptacle (common on Forest River, Keystone, Grand Design, Coachmen, and many other brands that spec MB Sturgis QD hardware)
  • Appliance side: must accept a 3/8" female flare fitting -- check your grill or burner inlet spec
  • LP gas (propane) use only -- not rated for natural gas or any other fuel
Not sure which end your outlet is? Model 250 quick-disconnect receptacles have a round, push-in socket roughly 1" in diameter with an internal check valve. If your outlet uses a threaded cap or a different body diameter, verify the QD series before purchasing this hose.

Construction and Materials

MB Sturgis builds this hose in the USA with a thermoplastic hose body and solid brass fittings. Thermoplastic construction resists UV exposure and outdoor weathering better than rubber at comparable pressure ratings, and it stays flexible from -40 F all the way up to 140 F -- covering any realistic outdoor cooking temperature range including winter camping.

Storage and Maintenance Tips
  • After disconnecting, replace the dust cap on the QD outlet if one is provided -- it keeps debris out of the check valve seat.
  • Coil the hose loosely for storage; avoid tight bends near the fittings.
  • Inspect the brass fittings and hose body before each season. Replace if the hose shows cracking, abrasion through the outer jacket, or if any fitting shows corrosion pitting.
  • Apply a soap-and-water bubble test at both fittings after initial connection to confirm a leak-free seal.

Important Information -- Read Before Use
  • For LP gas (propane) use ONLY -- do not use with natural gas, butane, or any other fuel.
  • Maximum working pressure: 350 PSI. Do not exceed this rating under any circumstances.
  • This hose requires a Model 250 female quick-disconnect receptacle on the supply side -- it will not connect to threaded outlets or other QD series without an adapter.
  • Always perform a soap-and-water leak test at both fittings after connecting and before igniting any appliance.
  • Inspect the hose before every use. Do not use if the hose shows cuts, abrasions, kinks, or if any fitting is corroded, cracked, or damaged.
  • Keep the hose away from open flames, sharp edges, and hot surfaces during use.
  • Do not use indoors or in enclosed spaces -- LP gas is heavier than air and can accumulate at floor level.
  • Replace the hose if it has been exposed to fire, extreme heat, or chemical contamination.
