Combination two-stage regulator controlling propane pressure to all RV appliances, with a built-in shutoff valve and horizontal-vent mounting orientation.
The Suburban Mfg 523002 is a two-stage propane regulator that controls the flow of gas to all RV appliances, not just a single unit. The first stage reduces cylinder outlet pressure down to 10 PSI, while the second stage maintains a stable working pressure of 11" water column for consistent appliance performance. A built-in shutoff valve is included, and this version is built for horizontal-vent mounting, meaning the regulator's pressure-relief vent is oriented to face sideways once installed. It's approved for RV use and suitable for single horizontal or vertical propane tank setups.
This same two-stage regulator is also available in a vertical-vent orientation as part #523003, and with an added excess flow valve for extra protection against hose ruptures as part #523014 (horizontal) or #523015 (vertical), if either of those features is needed instead.
This is a whole-system propane regulator, not a water heater or furnace exhaust vent. "Horizontal vent" refers to the orientation of the regulator's own pressure-relief vent opening once mounted.
