Replace or complete your ARC or PLC series RV air conditioner installation with the genuine GE RARMN1A ceiling assembly. Five discharge vents push conditioned air directly into your living space without ductwork, and the EZ Install design makes electrical connections hands-free during mounting.
The RARMN1A is a genuine GE Appliances replacement and installation ceiling assembly for non-ducted operation. It pairs with GE ARC and PLC series rooftop air conditioners and provides the entire interior air-distribution and control interface in a single unit. If you are installing a new GE rooftop AC or replacing a damaged, yellowed, or broken interior assembly, this is the correct part.
The manual control panel uses an 8-position rotary or slide switch to select operating mode and fan speed. Three fan speeds let you balance comfort against noise. Because there is no thermostat board or electronic control module in this assembly, wiring is straightforward and service is simple.
Multiple louver vents spread conditioned air across a wide area, reducing hot and cold spots in the cabin.
Electrical connectors self-align and seat during ceiling installation, eliminating the need to manually route wires before securing the unit.
Low, Medium, and High fan settings via the manual control switch let you match airflow to conditions and personal preference.
Selects Off, Fan Only, Cool Low, Cool Medium, Cool High, and additional modes without a separate thermostat or control board.
This ceiling assembly is designed for non-ducted (direct discharge) use only. Air exits through the five vents directly into the room. It is not compatible with duct collars, plenum boxes, or distribution ductwork. If your RV uses a ducted ceiling system, you need the ducted version of this assembly.
The RARMN1A is designed to work with GE Appliances ARC series and PLC series rooftop RV air conditioners. Verify your rooftop unit model number before ordering. This assembly does not fit Dometic, Coleman, or other non-GE rooftop units.
The rooftop air conditioner unit, refrigerant lines, and any external wiring harnesses are not included. This is the interior ceiling assembly only. The matching rooftop ARC or PLC unit must be purchased separately if you are doing a full installation.
The ceiling assembly mounts to the interior ceiling opening left by the rooftop unit. The EZ Install connector system mates the low-voltage control wiring between the rooftop unit and the ceiling assembly automatically as you seat the panel -- no loose wire-by-wire connections required. Standard ceiling cutout dimensions for ARC/PLC series apply; confirm your existing opening matches the 21.3 x 23.2 in. footprint before installation.
Clean the discharge vent louvers and the return air filter (if applicable to your rooftop unit) at the start of each camping season. Blocked vents reduce airflow and make the compressor work harder. The manual control switch contacts can be cleaned with electrical contact cleaner if the selector becomes intermittent over time.
If your existing ceiling assembly has cracked housing, broken louvers, or a failed control switch, the RARMN1A is the correct direct replacement for non-ducted ARC and PLC installations. Match your existing unit's control type -- manual vs. electronic -- before ordering. The electronic-thermostat version is a different part number.
