NBK Parts Lippert 132682 12V DC / 18:1 Gear Ratio Lippert 132682 Tucson/Venture 18:1 Replacement Actuator Motor

When your electric through-frame slide-out stops responding or moves sluggishly, a failed actuator motor is often the culprit. This is the direct OEM-replacement motor for Lippert Tucson and Venture slide-out actuator assemblies -- Lippert part number 132682, supplied by NBK Parts (part 20579). It restores reliable 12V DC operation to 2x2 and 2.5x2.5 tube through-frame slide-out systems on Heartland, Jayco, Keystone, Winnebago, and other major RV brands.

Get Your Slide-Out Moving Again

The Lippert Tucson and Venture slide-out systems are among the most widely used through-frame electric actuator designs in the RV industry. The actuator motor drives the lead-screw mechanism that extends and retracts your slide room, and over time -- especially in rigs used in dusty, cold, or high-humidity environments -- the motor windings or brushes can wear out before the rest of the actuator assembly shows any signs of failure.

Replacing just the motor is a cost-effective repair versus swapping the entire actuator. This unit bolts directly onto compatible 24-inch and 40-inch Tucson/Venture actuator bodies, restoring full function without the need for any actuator-body modifications or re-calibration of a new system.

Direct OEM Fit

Engineered as a drop-in replacement for Lippert Tucson and Venture actuators on 2x2 and 2.5x2.5 through-frame slide-out systems. No drilling, grinding, or adapters required.

18:1 Gear Ratio

The 18:1 reduction provides the torque needed to move heavy slide rooms reliably. Matches the factory gear ratio so slide travel speed and force are unchanged after the swap.

Wide OEM Acceptance

Cross-referenced against Heartland 14665, Jayco 0711101, Keystone 118012, and Winnebago 20247510000, covering a large portion of the RV market that uses this actuator platform.

Compact, Proven Design

Weighs approximately 5 lbs. Draws 30 amps at 12V DC -- well within the capacity of a standard RV slide-out circuit and compatible with most factory slide-out controllers.

What Actuator Bodies Does This Motor Fit?

This motor is compatible with Lippert Tucson and Venture through-frame actuators in the following tube sizes:

  • 2 x 2 inch through-frame actuator tubes
  • 2.5 x 2.5 inch through-frame actuator tubes
  • 24-inch and 40-inch actuator body lengths

If you are unsure which actuator length you have, measure from the motor-mount end cap to the opposite end of the actuator body (not the rod). Most residential-width slide rooms use the 40-inch body; smaller slides or tip-out rooms sometimes use the 24-inch body.

OEM Cross-Reference Confirmed: This motor is the same unit sold under four separate OEM part numbers. If your rig's parts list shows Heartland 14665, Jayco 0711101, Keystone 118012, or Winnebago 20247510000 -- this is your motor.

Installation Notes

Motor replacement on a Tucson/Venture actuator is a manageable DIY job for anyone comfortable with basic hand tools and 12V wiring:

  • Fully retract the slide before beginning any actuator work.
  • Disconnect the coach from shore power and disconnect the battery to eliminate any accidental slide movement during the repair.
  • The motor mounts to the actuator end cap with machine screws -- note the orientation of the motor connector before removal.
  • Transfer the wiring harness connector from the old motor to the new one before reinstalling the end cap.
  • After installation, cycle the slide out and in once at slow speed to verify smooth, quiet operation before returning to normal use.
Not a Complete Actuator: This listing is for the motor only. The actuator body, lead screw, rod, and mounting hardware are not included. If your actuator body is bent, corroded, or has a stripped lead screw, you will need a complete actuator assembly instead.
Maintenance Tip: While the actuator is disassembled for the motor swap, inspect the lead screw threads and the actuator rod for scoring or debris buildup. A light application of white lithium grease on the lead screw after reassembly will extend the service life of the new motor.

Compatible RV Brands and Platforms

The Tucson/Venture through-frame slide-out system was factory-installed across a wide range of fifth-wheels, travel trailers, and toy haulers built by:

  • Heartland RV (cross-ref: 14665)
  • Jayco (cross-ref: 0711101)
  • Keystone RV (cross-ref: 118012)
  • Winnebago Industries (cross-ref: 20247510000)
  • Other brands that sourced Lippert Tucson/Venture actuators from the factory

Always verify your actuator's existing part number or the label on your current motor before ordering to confirm this is the correct gear ratio for your system.

What Is Included

IncludedReplacement actuator motor (1)
Not IncludedActuator body, lead screw, rod, mounting screws, wiring harness
Important Information
  • This is a motor-only replacement -- it does not include the actuator body, lead screw, travel rod, or any mounting hardware.
  • Verify your existing actuator is a Lippert Tucson or Venture series through-frame unit with a 2x2 or 2.5x2.5 tube before ordering. Installing the wrong motor can damage the actuator or slide-out controller.
  • Always fully retract the slide room and disconnect battery power before disassembling the actuator. An accidentally energized slide-out can cause serious injury.
  • Confirm the gear ratio on your existing motor before installing. Using an incorrect gear ratio (for example, swapping a 18:1 for a 35:1) will cause improper slide travel speed and may trip controller fault codes.
  • This motor is rated for 12V DC systems only. Do not use in 24V systems.
  • If your slide-out controller is also faulty, replacing the motor alone may not resolve the issue. Diagnose the full system before ordering parts.
Please Note: There are 2 gear ratios with these same physical dimensions. Please verify that the ratio you require is 18 to 1
TROUBLESHOOTING MOTOR
Before attempting to troubleshoot the Motor, make sure an adequate power source is available. The unit batteries should be fully charged or the unit should be plugged into to A/C service with batteries installed.

Do not attempt to troubleshoot the Motor without assuring a full 12V DC charge

The following tests require only a DC voltmeter (or DC test light) and a jumper lead.
Step 1 - Attach voltmeter (or test light) leads to the negative and positive switch terminals on back of wall switch (See Fig. 10). Does the meter indicate 12V DC?
If YES, see Step 2; if NO see Step 3.
Step 2 - If YES, at the motor, check the incoming leads to 12V DC (if necessary, disconnect leads at wire splices). Does meter indicate 12V DC?
If YES, Motor needs to be replaced. The motor is not field serviceable. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR.
If NO, Inspect all wires and connections between the wall switch and the motor. Repair connections as necessary. Recheck as in Step 1.

Step 3 - If NO, Inspect all connections between battery and switch.

Inspect 30A Auto-reset Circuit Breaker (See Fig. 10 for location).

Recheck as above in Step 1.

Since there are no field serviceable parts in the motor, electrical troubleshooting and service is limited to replacing only those components as previously outlined.

Thorough inspection of wiring and connections is the only other electrical service that can be performed.
