The Cummins Onan 122-0893 is the OEM-specified spin-on oil filter for HDKCA, HDKCB, HDKLA, and HDKLB Quiet Diesel RV generators. It supersedes earlier part number 122-0810 and is the current Green Label filter for these diesel generator families.
Like all Cummins Onan Green Label oil filters, the 122-0893 features an integrated bypass valve that allows oil to flow during cold starts or in the event the filter becomes restricted. Aftermarket "will-fit" filters frequently lack bypass valves — as they trap debris, oil pressure starvation can occur, leading to elevated pressures, failed gaskets, and engine damage. The bypass valve is not optional on these diesel generators.
Note: You may receive a Fleetguard LF3706 filter in place of or alongside this part number. The LF3706 is a Fleetguard (Cummins) OEM product that is a direct substitute for 122-0893 with identical specifications — it is not an aftermarket replacement.
