This coating cannot be applied directly to your roof. A roof-specific primer must be applied first or the coating will not adhere properly: For EPDM Rubber Roofs: Use Dicor Part 1 Cleaner/Activator Primer (RP-CRP-Q). Rinse completely before applying coating. For TPO Roofs: Use Dicor TPO Silicone Roof Primer (RP-TPR-Q). Allow primer to dry 1–2 hours before applying coating. The entire coating process — including priming and two coats of silicone coating — must be completed in one day.
Preparation: 1. Complete the appropriate priming process for your roof type (EPDM or TPO) before beginning 2. Mix contents thoroughly for a minimum of 5 minutes prior to application 3. Protect sidewalls and end caps with plastic sheeting — ensure it runs to the ground 4. Surface must be completely dry and frost-free. Repair or replace any deteriorated substrates Application: 5. Apply by medium nap roller or brush at 1 gallon per 125 sq. ft. per coat 6. Apply minimum 2 coats — apply second coat perpendicular to the first 7. Allow first coat to dry completely before applying the second 8. All surfaces must be uniformly coated with no voids, pinholes, or blisters Weather Precautions: Apply only when surface and ambient temperatures are between 35°F and 100°F, and not within 5°F of the dew point. Do not apply if rain or freezing temperatures are expected before cure is complete.
